Top Interior Trends For 2017

The changing of the seasons always brings with it an exciting array of new trends for around the home. We've put together some of the top trends so far for 2017 below.

Metallics

It’s out with the shiny metallics of 2016 and in with muted tones of matte gold and bronze. Understated metallic accessories are a great way to add depth to a room with a touch of glamour. Why not check out our other blog post on styling with metallics for some more inspiration?

Terracotta

The raw, earthy tones of terracotta will add warmth to any room. This 80’s throwback has been toned down with a fresh matte finish for 2017 and looks great either as a decorative room accent - such as a paint dipped plant pot - or for making a real statement with a tiled floor or feature wall.

String and Rattan

70’s chic is all the rage this year and it brings with it the re-introduction of string and rattan pieces. From macramé wall art and plant hangers to Lloyd Loom-esque furniture pieces, natural materials are going to be a huge part of interior design this year.

Navy is the new black…

The clean white canvas of 2016 will be subjected to a splash of colour in 2017 and navy is super on-trend. Whether you’re brave enough to paint a whole room or focus on a feature wall, this dark shade brings with it a surprisingly cosy and enveloping feel.

Green Fingers…

Houseplants are huge news and the more the better! Teamed with botanical wall fabrics and soft furnishings, breathe life into your home with a natural injection. With Greenery announced as the Pantone colour of the 2017 too, this year is definitely one for the green fingered among us! Luckily, Cacti are also hugely fashionable too (for the less green fingered amongst us!) tying perfectly into the dessert vibe of bohemian styling.
